Sandberg Capital, Bakaláři And Twigsee founded Educleus

A New Educational Holding Aimed at Supporting Digitization And Innovation In Education

At the moment, the Educleus Group provides its services for 92% of all Czech schools (approximately 5,000) and 15% of all Czech kindergartens (750), that together represent more than 1 million active users. Bakaláři are the most widely used Czech software company in the field of education and have more than 30 years of tradition. Twigsee is a young technology company founded in 2019, that offers user-friendly productsfor kindergartens based on modern technologies. Both companies and their investor Sandberg Capital share the same vision – in current fast-paced environment, they want to focus on bringing innovation to education.

In addition to Bakaláři, since 2017 our portfolio includes Cambridge International School and several kindergartens Funiversity. The creation of Educleus is yet another important step in fulfilling our long-term vision of supporting modern education in the Central European region,”says František Paller, Investment Manager responsible for education at Sandberg Capital.

Twigsee founder Vanda Seidelová was appointed the Group CEO. As Paller explains, this is not a merger of entities. Bakaláři and Twigsee will operate in parallel as two sister companies under the new Educleus holding, which is 75% owned by Sandberg Capital.

Twigsee

Twigsee was created in 2019 as a modern communication application connecting parents with their teachers. Since 2020, it has expanded its functionalities with legislative duties and is currently able to handle almost 90% of all pre-school administration. The system is currently used by more than 700 schools in the Czech Republic, dozens in Slovakia and 10 other countries around the world. The priority is innovation, elimination of duplicative work, user-friendliness and saving time, money, energy and nerves for all users of the system.
